will be exhibiting new work at the gallery for the first Friday Art Walk on Friday, October 7, 2011. Gallery hours for the weekend will be
Friday 11 – 8 pm, Saturday 11 – 6, Sunday 11 – 3, and Monday 11 – 5.

Both America and Dianne have been hugely popular this season, and we invite you to come and view their new work. AMERICA MARTIN is a Colombian-American fine artist based in Los Angeles. Roberta Carasso says of America, “America’s favorite landscape is that of the human form, her work is distinguished by a command of line and color, making playful reference to both classic and indigenous art forms.” There are large works in oil and acrylic on canvas, and smaller works on paper.

DIANNE SCHELBLE has been painting for nearly 40 years. Her paintings are vibrant works with generously applied paint, creating a unique look in watercolor resembling a palette knife technique in oil. These paintings are alive in the moment – enrgetic and bold with  intriguing light. Dianne has been training with Hudson River Valley faculty member Skip Lawrence for many years. Color saturated and ethereal, her work is a favorite of many well known realists for its gorgeous representational abstraction.
